Whenever I'm sick or in the mood for something hot, I ALWAYS get their chicken soup. For entree's I recommend the mole verde burrito or the loaded chicken fajitas! They have great margaritas and great portion sizes. ALSO! If you're feeling something light but delicious and filling, I recommend the chicken salad. SO FRESH!! BTW! Best salsa EVER.

Delicious! My office mates and I (5 of us total) ate here for a birthday lunch this week and we all couldn't have left more full or happy about it. This place isn't very big, but they were able to accommodate us right in the center of all the action. Service was friendly and consistently good throughout the entire meal. They even took the birthday cake we had for her and stored it in their fridge so they could bring it out when we were finished eating. While these things I mentioned are all wonderful points to make about this restaurant, the main focus here needs to be the food. So incredible! I ordered the fish "no carb" tacos. The pairing of the perfectly grilled fish and avocado inside of the lettuce wraps was out of this world delicious. My coworker, who had one of the three generously portioned lettuce wrapped tacos, has since texted me telling me of her dreams of eating it again. Top this great meal with a delish house margarita - it was perfection. Needless to say, I will be back! I loved every bite this visit and can't wait to try more!

If you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant... Keep looking and don't waste your time or money here. As stated in many other reviews, they keep the place so dark that you might find it hard to read your menu or see the food you're eating clearly. Our server was great but the manager who sat us was extremely rude. Food was okay, but not worth coming back for.

Excellent food, chill environment. I recommend the Carne Asada entree. Fast & friendly service.

HELL NO. Walked in the other night and noticed the logo looks exactly like Señor Burrito and thought nothing of it at first. As we walked it, the light was so low i had to pay attention where i was going as to not trip over anything. We are finally sat and handed our menus. They are the exact same menu, absolutely no difference. Then it hit me, this is another of the same restaurant. NO way am i dealing with these people again. (IF YOU AREN'T CLEAR AOBUT WHAT I AM REFERRING TO, READ MY REVIEW ON SENOR BURRITO) Not here or there or anywhere. If you don't believe me, go to the website of each and see everything is the exact same except the name. Why in the world do you people keep eating this trash and actually rate it anything near or above 3 stars. HELL NO. This place and the other one(s) should have - CLOSED on all of their yelp listings.

From the first time I came there I love the vibe. The prices are great. I'm eating Mexican food just there. Try the green hot sauce. Loaded Fajitas it's my dish.

I dont live in boca raton but everytime i want to eat a real fresh and authentic mexican plate, i come here. All ingredients are fresh, the menu is small but it has just the best from mexican food. Even sauces are natural and not necessarily spicy-if you dont like it.

Las Fajitas made me poopitas actually not me but my gf aka my domestic partner. Watch out for the parking lot too, no parking in the rear so stay clear. They will not substitute either.

Not impressed. Service was quick, though most of the peolple were not very friendly. Not at all clean. Dusty and bits of food on the seats and floor. Food wasn't bad, nor was it good. Just blah.

I love this little place! Great staff, they always make sure I feel welcome and take awesome care of me. The food is authentic and on point, oh and the beverages, oh yah, let the fun begin! Thank you Las Fajitas, you guys rock.

This is a great "hole in the wall" Authentic Mexican restaurant. Nothing upscale about it, but the food is amazing!!! The chips and salsa were great, portions were large, and the prices were cheap. They also have really good drink prices, although I can't comment on how they taste :) !!

My fiance and I love this little local joint. Its an authentic Mexican restaurant located on a small corner. Parking is not that great but the service and food make up for it. The menu is small but not disappointing. I love the their fajitas!! They also have wonderful taquitos and guacamole. To be honest, we've been there during awkward hours about 3-5 so the restaurant is not too busy and the service is great!

I loveeee this place. It's cheap, fresh, and fast. The loaded fajitas are my fave I usually get them everytime. The general manager is so nice and the service is always great!

Solid Mex (not Tex Mex) with fresh well prepared ingredients. The tomato salsa was excellent, especially when mixed with their hot green salsa (which must be requested). Mahi Mahi soft tacos were bland and tasteless. Chicken enchiladas in green sauce was solid shredded chicken in wrapped tortillas (?), which I found a little boring. Green sauce was uninspiring. The mole is probably a better choice. High quality chicken and cheese were appreciated. White rice was flavored with vegetables and was quite good. Low salt levels were also a big plus. Portions were generous. Good but not great is the verdict. Would return, but only if we were in the area.

Consistently amazing! I get the fish tacos everytime I come here...they put fresh avocado on top, along with lettuce, white cheese, & their AMAZING house made dressing! The refried beans, and spinach tortilla chips on the side are the perfect complements.

Very good authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. This location is off the beaten path a bit and always a wait with a rough parking situation, but the food is worth it!

Good Mexican food here the sauce on the burritos is a little sweeter than I like but overall better than average Mexican for South Florida

Tldr: nothing special but if I lived in Boca I would probably be back. Service was fast and friendly. Food was decent but a bit under seasoned (I do have cold currently but still, it needed lots of salt). Cheap, free chips and salsa, two entrees and a drink for $22. Ambiance (lunch) was weird, jazz playing, otherwise standard Mexican restaurant. Bathrooms are outside on the side of the building and are reminiscent of a gas station.

My review will be short. I recommend you go to their sister places, Senor Burrito...Either the one in Boca or Delray. This place has a bathroom outside which is a little weird. Tasty food though. The attitude of the staff has been less than stellar. I asked for a separate bowl to share a soup recently and I got a reply of "we don't do that" from the manager. Eff u too pal. Will not go back - a good attitude is everything.

I'm not entirely sure why so many reviews of Las Fajitas are so positive. There's very little about this place that even gets it one star. Basically, this is how it breaks down: Parking--poor. Difficult to get in and out. Chips--stale. They don't make them fresh. These are straight out of a bag, pre-made, probably from Wal-Mart or some discount chain. Salsa--watery and flavorless. Refried beans--gloppy and again, appeared to come out of a 50-gallon drum. Rice--no flavor, and watery. Beef fajitas--as tough as shoe leather. Cheese enchiladas--LOTS of cheese. Actually too much cheese and little else. Price--for a funky little joint on Dixie Highway, you'd think the prices would be low. They're not. The staff was friendly and the music is mellow. But, Rocco's Tacos is sooooo much better. And cheaper. Yeah, it's a chain, but it's clean, fast, cheap and good.

New Tagline for Las Fajitas: "The Most Boring Burrito in the World!" Nickle and dime you to death. Chips and salsa free if you're eating there. If not pay more for chips, pay more for a tiny cup of salsa. Oh want a little lettuce another dollar. Suprised they don't charge per the cube for ice! Update: got home opened the bag, the burrito was about half the size I expected for a $10 burrito. I ordered a Mole Burrito, this Burrito was void of anything remotely tasting like Mole. It tasted like boiled chicken wrapped in a soggy flour tortilla. No spices, no veggies, "WHITE" rice. It was void of anything mexican. It was bland and boring. In fact I will go so far to say it's the most boring burrito I've had in my entire life! Thought they would have given me something to add a taste to it like a cup os salsa.. guess what, you want it to taste like something more than boiled chicken.. you pay extra! Will not go back, hate the nickle and dime attitude on a $10 burrito that has nothing in it other than blan refried beans, boiled chicken and white rice. This burrito is something I'd expect to find in a old folks home for those with "Sensitive" GI tracks! Yucky, not going back, anyone who thinks this place is good, has never been within a 1,000 miles of an authentic mexican eatery or mexico. Advice to owner: Go to California and learn how to make "MEXICAN FOOD" Hell a roach coach out there is better than this place!

Fantastic fajitas and delicious rice/beans. Guacamole was great and would recommend the spinach nachos. Salsa was so fresh and tasty. Place gets packed and you never leave hungry! Fair prices on drinks and a large selection!

With the arrival of El Camino in Delray Beach this once pretty formidable Mexican eatery has succumbed to catering to the lobotomy victims and he elderly that have turned their authentic salsas into ketchup. Bland beyond belief the food lacks character and I'm done with this place and it's twin, Señor Burrito. Parking hassle isn't worth it either.

I had bookmarked Las Fajitas a few weeks ago when I was craving a margarita and this past Friday when there was a concert in Mizner Park making parking and eating there impossible I decided to try it. It is a relatively small place, with not a ton of parking, but we were able to get a spot out front and were seated right away. It was VERY dark inside. I had to use my phone to see the menu. I like a little ambiance, but I also like to be able to see what I'm eating. In the beginning service was a little slow but we ordered drinks (margaritas) and guacamole to start. They give you chips and salsa for the table. The salsa was very good...the guac you could probably skip. I thought it needed garlic, and a squeeze of lime....and some salt. I just wasn't impressed with it and thought the salsa was much better. For entrees I ordered the mole enchiladas and my boyfriend go the fajitas. Despite the slow start to the meal the entrees came out very quickly. The mole enchiladas were ok, but they had a little too much cheese on top, and the enchilada itself was pretty much a chicken tender wrapped in a tortilla...I'm used to the chicken being diced or shredded, and there really wasn't any seasoning in there, but the mole sauce was flavorful. For the fajitas the waitress asked whether or not we wanted them "loaded'. Since this place is called Las Fajitas I assumed they had some special topping situation, but no. She explained that the fajitas come with the sizzling meat/onions/peppers and the toppings such as cheese, tomato, guac, lettuce were an upcharge. I find this to be pretty silly. When people order fajitas they are expecting more than chicken on a tortilla, so just up the price of the fajitas a dollar or two and skip this who "loaded" upcharge...I thought it was silly and cheap of them. Based on the food alone I may have gone with three stars...it wasn't that I didn't enjoy the meal...but we were going to see a movie after, and the entrees came out so quickly we ended up with a little extra time, so I opted for a second margarita we could sip to pass the time. The first margarita was quite good; however, the second margarita did not taste the same at all and was pretty gross. It tasted like they used orange juice instead of margarita mix (perhaps it's so dark even the bartenders can't see what they're doing). In my opinion a consistent margarita is a pretty important element in a Mexican restaurant...so two stars it is.

I haven't been to this place in a long time. I wanted my boyfriend to try something new and Tex-Mex. The place is small and parking is limited. So I was hoping it was not packed. Walking in we are immediately taken to our table. We ordered margaritas and the fresh salsa and chips were brought to the table. I love the salsa always delicious and fresh. We ordered the guacamole too. For dinner I wanted to keep it simple to I ordered the Tacos Asada. This comes with 3 corn and steak tacos with rice and beans. Service was quick. The tacos were out in less than 10mins. I absolutely loved them. The beans are refried pinto beans with white mexican rice with veggies. Great combination. Good thing we arrived around 6pm. The place seems to get packed for dinner. I noticed there was only one waitress and 2 helpers. She did great making sure we were taken care of. I would definitely come back here again. Food is always great and fresh.

I went here for cheese and onion enchiladas and was told they couldn't make them because they don't do special request. I settled for cheese enchiladas with mile and it was horrendous. The mole was so poorly made, it taste like a melted Hershey bar on top of tortillas. The enchiladas were hideous like they were placed in the microwave. This is not authentic, it is Taco Bell on steroids. 2 stars because the waiter was pleasant.

This is my 2nd favorite restaurant in all South Florida. Sister restaurant to Senor Burito. The food is always made consistently right from taste to temperature. The entres are priced on the low end, yet with the highest quality.

Great food but what truly distinguishes this place is the service! Their team approach - I don't know if that's what they cal it - means no customer is waiting very long. I've been in so many restaurants where I've been waiting - and waiting, for a server. Not so here. Every employee takes care of every table, none of that 'it's not my table so I'll ignore you' mentality. If they're walking by and see you need something, they help. The result for us was that we never lacked for drink refills, more salsa, or our meals. Way to go Las Fajitas!

MARCH 2015. this has been a local fav for years. and yet, it has gone down year after year, visit after visit. but seeing how there are so few good tex-mex inspired restaurants I've cut it a lot of slack. NO MAS! a new low last visit. average food. horrible service. dirty tables. a local favorite is now a sad "never again". don't waste your time or money. is it possible to give NO STARS?!? i would rather pay a little (lot?) more for uncle julio's bland, overpriced version of dallas tex-mex than spend another minute (or nickel) waiting for something I will never get here--that being the way this place used to be!

My wife and I seem to go through a love hate relationship with this place. Usually, what makes us take this restaurant out of our dinner rotation is a bland tasting meal. It is almost like they periodically change chefs resulting in food that has lost its uniqueness and flavor. Since they are really the only Mexican restaurant game in town, we wind up returning after we forget how mediocre the food is. Needless to say, we have come to the end of our cycle where we have once again experienced an evening of bland food. My wife had the tostadas Culiacan and I had the combo fajitas. Both dishes were unimpressive, forgettable and flavorless. What was worse is the attitude we got from one of the owners. I'm guessing he is the owner because we have seen him almost every time we have been there. And he knows us as well. I ordered a frozen margarita but he mistakenly brought me a margarita on the rocks. When I asked for my original order, he was annoyed and asked if I was sure I had originally asked for the frozen version; yeah, my friend, I'm positive. I guess this place has plenty of business to afford to treat their guests as nuisances. I do want to compliment them on their margaritas, however, the attitude, coupled with consistently inconsistent food will finally bring our visits to an end.

This is one of the best Mexican places in boca hands down. It's total hole in the walls and it shows as soon as you walk in. Seats are limited there for not the type of place you want to go with a large group of friends. But the food is consistently authentic and delicious. Easily a staple of dining in boca!

I find it difficult to review Las Fajitas... I love it... It's my favorite Mexican restaurant... however in the 8+ years I've been coming here I have always ordered the same dish. Carne asada all the way! That being said everyone I have ever brought here has loved it and everything I have tasted from what others have ordered has been great. Their chips and salsa are great and their sauces are really good. I also really enjoy their chicken soup which the small portion is HUGE. The star of the show for me is that carne asada. Everything you could possibly want on one giant plate. Meat, rice, beans and the most amazing cheese enchilada ever. I usually save that for the end of my meal and jokingly call it my dessert. One thing I will mention I do not like is their guacamole, but I am very picky on my guacamole given that I do not care much for the taste of avocado in it's natural state. I like my guacamole seasoned well and they serve it pretty much naked here. It's a very small place and some of the tables are not the most comfortable to sit at, however it's all worth it at the end.

This was just a terrible restaurant experience all around. I didn't even eat any food. I wanted a burrito but the only burritos available have meat. When I asked about a vegetarian burrito I was given the option of a being burrito. Literally the only thing I was allowed to put inside of it was beans with cheese on top. When I asked about guacamole inside she basically laughed at me. It would be $5.45 extra for guacamole and two dollars extra just for slices of avocado all of this would be on the side. No possibility of rice in the burrito. no possibility of fajitas or vegetables in the Burrito. Just a nightmare.

I was in there on Saturday night November 8th and I was with a friend. I have been here before and usually the food is good. I ordered something that I do not usually order. When it came out it was not what we expected and it did NOT taste good at all. I told the manager that I did not like it and handed the plate to him. I was very nice about it but I made it clear that I was not going to eat it! He actually said to me and I quote! "What am I going to do with it? You cant like everything!" Really?? I almost never send food back. As a matter of fact I don't like doing that. He made me feel like an idiot! He did get me something else but he was not very nice about it. Of course he did NOT even check back to see if we were happy! I am a very busy business person in the community and I promise that this event will be known! Maybe locals should go elsewhere? Terrible service!!

a hidden Gem , every time I go to Florida ,I need my fix and I go 10 times a year .Great drinks ,food and service . Go off hours ,very hard to find parking sometimes . Its not for the prima donnas, not everybody will find the charm of the place. Its mostly for the locals that work hard for there money .You get your monies worth there . I get the chicken Fajitas and my better half gets Fresh Fish Tacos . U most try the chicken soup just for the experience .

Love this place. My girlfriend and I split the fajitas and we both get margaritas. Chips and salsa are served as an appetizer and they are great in themselves. Really tasty stuff. Smooth jazz usually playing.

  • Scott B.

Stopped in recently on a Saturday night. Pleasantly surprised. $6 house margaritas that are very big. The menu itself is, in my opinion, a bit overpriced given the look and feel of the place, but they do give you a lot of food. A LOT. Plus you get chips and salsa for the table. And everything is really good. The booths are tight, the cushions roll up on the ends a bit so you feel like you are falling toward the middle, and you do have to walk outside to go to the bathroom. But I guess that's the charm of the place. If you want to pee inside and sit in a nicer chair, you can go to Uncle Julios at Mizner Park... it will make more room for me at this place.

When I was in college you could always find me here right before class for dinner. I was addicted. This place is small and can get very packed really quick. Parking can also be a hassle since their parking lot is very small. Let's start off with the chips and salsa. The salsa is very fresh and sometimes the chips are warm. They make everything here. We usually order a side of guac since I am an avocado fan. For dinner- My favorite are the Flautas and Carne Asada tacos. The flautas are crunchy and I order them with chicken. They are very filling and come with avocado sauce, lettuce and cheese on top of them. I love them so much that I have tries to make barbacoa flautas at home. They were pretty good. The Carne Asada tacos are very authentic to me. They are simple and pretty tasty. They give you 3 tacos in corn tortilla and it comes with grilled skirt steak, guacamole, and cheese red enchilada. This is a safe pick if you are new to the place and want to try something out. To drink you have to try their margaritas. Staff here are always friendly. Service is quick so you will not be waiting there long for your food. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. It's cozy. Make sure to check it out.

You want authentic Mexican food? Go to Las Fajitas. Eat in or take out, and I promise you will not be disappointed- well, you may desire more guacamole, but luckily all you have to do is ask for it and their excellent servers and staff will happily get you whatever you'd like! It's a hole in the wall on Dixie Highway but, if you are in any way a foodie, you should know that usually means the food and service is outstanding. It's owned by the same people as Señor Burrito on Federal Highway, but has a different atmosphere and, in my opinion, better food and service overall. The fajitas are, as you would imagine, their staple (get the combo 'fully loaded' with all the fixins!) and it does not disappoint! Additionally, the chips and guacamole are awesome, and the chicken enchiladas are ridiculous. So cheesy and delicious, but don't burn your mouth because you can't wait for it to cool down- mistake I made! The bathroom is outside, so that's the only 'drawback', but I say just use the restroom before you go and you'll be good. And after you go, post your own review about how awesome it was!

Excellent place. Small restaurant, with very friendly staff, and a simple menu to die for. Their salsa might taste different sometimes, because it is made from scratch. The best two items are the pasilla burrito (beef) which has a smoky flavor red sauce and the mole verde burrito (chicken). The seating area is limited, so I don't think that they can accommodate party's of more than 6 people. Margaritas are great, and the ambiance still kid-friendly. No changing tables in the bathroom though :( To end with a good smile, the prices are very reasonable, and the check is delivered with jolly ranchers :)

  • Stephanie S.

This place is just ok. Prices were good, wait service was fine. It was clean. Chorizo quesadilla had a funky-ish flavor. Steak and chix fajita's were ok, but the guac was slightly turned from the tomato and was fizzy on the tongue. This happens when the guacamole is made well in advance. Margarita's were tasty but no punch. Chips were good, salsa was bland. Kinda odd that the bathrooms were outside. Would not go back.

Love this place. The service is usually pretty good. make sure you get there early to beat the lunch rush or you will never get back to work in time. The rice can be a hit or miss though. Sometimes it can be really stale. I would literally come here just for the free chips and salsa. This is the best salsa you are going to find at a restaurant. Prices are normal for Boca. 10 bucks a plate is pretty average.

Off the beaten path. Busy even at 5p on a Saturday. Always a good sign. Small but diverse menu. Got the burrito with mole verde. Others had the enchiladas, flautas and chicken vegetable soup. Servings are all very generous and the soup had us all eyeing it for a taste. We also brought our 9 month old - she loved the menu. There were other kids - the waitstaff didn't bat an eye. Great service. Recommend without reservation.

After going to gumbo limbo and seeing the fish I was craving fish tacos. I yelped "fish tacos" and las fajitas was the first place I saw. Being that is Easter I wasn't sure they would be open. My girlfriend and I went to las fajitas and all I gotta say is, "WOW!". This is the best Mexican I've ever had! The fish tacos were nothing less than perfect. The food was fresh, hot, and amazingly delicious. My girlfriend had the Mole Rojo and it too was great. The waitress was very sweet and my drink was never empty. I have gotta say that I loved every second of my meal and I will be frequenting Las Fajitas. I am so excited I found this place. It's true Mexican food and I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. If I could I would give it 100 stars. I may even go back tomorrow for dinner after work.

Checked this place out today for lunch and although was a bit worried when I saw the building it was amazing! The fajitas were fantastic. The Guac was so fresh and delicious! It's a very small place with a limited menu which is very nice for lunch for sure. Will definitely go back!

3.5 LF is a great little Mexican spot. It's the parent company of Senior Burrito and I believe they have a hand in Taco Prince as well. It's your "authentic" Mexican in SoFla. All of the places mentioned pretty much have the exact same menu and I feel their foods all taste the same at each location, with the exception of Taco Prince. Las is consistent and they do a lot of dishes well. Their salsa is on point and you do get a lot of food for your money, the only problem is I sometimes find their foods to be bland. Service is great, but beware because lunch can get packed. It's right on Dixie so you wouldn't think much of it and probably have driven by it many of times. It's those kind of places though that are usually gems. I dig Las Fajitas and anytime I'm craving a killer burrito of their infamous fajitas I'll go here. I will say, I don't think their food is as good as Baja Cafe which is down the street. That's not to take anything away, but some of these reviews state their the best in Boca and that simply is not true.

New favorite Mexican restaurant? I think so! This is definitely not a tourist chain. A hole in a wall, that you would most likely miss if you were cruising down Dixie. The plates are big and heavy, like Mexican food should be. Started off with the guacamole, and then had the fish tacos, also tried the chicken burrito-- everything was incredible! Family owned, cozy, warm, rugged... Completely unpretentious--- Put a smile on my face. I loved this place!

One of my besties had a visitor come for a Miami vaycay for the weekend and her goal was to show all of what south Florida had to offer. This included a trip to Club 50, bumming it on Fort Lauderdale Beach, and a trek north for some Mexican food. My bestie swore to us all that this would be the "best friggen Mexican food everrrr," so we squeezed 6 people into her Toyota Corolla and made our journey north in preparation for some oral enchantment. Las Fajitas' establishment is that of a converted house; that's nifty, really added an authentic kind of vibe. Not cool when the restrooms are located outside, but since I personally did not need to use the facilities, no harm done. When our party of 6 finally arrived (after a long and squished car ride), we were seated immediately and chips and salsa were shortly there after placed on our table for consumption. As others have mentioned, the salsa was mild. But that is how I like it, so I was good with that. The chips are good, decent. The menu has your typical Mexican selection. My rule of thumb is that if a restaurant is named for a specific food, I order it. Thus, I ordered me some chicken fajitas. I was kinda pissed that they charge an extra 2$ for "loaded" fajitas. All the extras such as cheese, lettuce, guac, sour cream, and tomatoes are not standard. However, once my food came out, my grievances were softened when I realized that the toppings were not measly spoon-fulls slabbed on a plate. Served beautifully, the toppings were heaping servings of homemade guacamole, shredded lettuce, fresh chopped tomatoes, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. Served with 4 warm tortillas. The chicken was flavorful and the onions and peppers abundant. Served with rice and beans. It was around 12$ and then add the extra 2$ for "loaded," fair price. The Services was pretty good. Chips and salsa were refilled once our first batch was devoured, water glasses were replenished and no huffing and puffing when we handed our waiter 6 separate credit cards to split the bill. Oh, and jolly ranchers are given in place of mints at the end.. nice touch! So was this the "best friggen Mexican good everrrr?" No, but it was good. If I lived closer, I supposed I would make it a top Mexican pick. But alas I don't, and I can't see driving 45 min every time I get a yen for Mexican. Would I recommend Las Fajitas to a friend or fellow yelper, sure I would!

This place was very underwhelming. I had a steak burrito and think it may have been pork. On top of that I have not felt well at all since eating here. Not a very good restaurant.

This place. What can I say. The food is amazing. Simply amazing. I would love to say authentic, because that's how it feels, but having not eaten in mexico, i can't. But i picture this place. There. Ya know. They have a great tequila selection. The margaritas are a little too syrupy for my taste, but overall not bad. Seating and parking limited, so go early or be ready to wait. Will go back again and again!

Hands Down my favorite place for Mexican. Everything is delicious. Everything is fresh and there is not a single thing on the menu that you can go wrong with! Good date place also, since it is small and cozy. Good price.

On 9/19/12 @ 11:30 am I went to have lunch at this restaurant. 1st time there and it will not be my last. The food was delicious and not overly priced. The Taco Asada was sooooooo good!! The owners were very friendly and were there to answer any questions. They also refilled sodas and anything else without me ever having to ask. If you are in the area I recommend this restaurant!! Loved the food!! Thanks Mom for suggesting this restaurant on a whim...GREAT CHOICE!

Consistently very good. I've been here many, many times and have NEVER had a bad meal. Authentic Mexican - very large portions. Beautiful, smooth, creamy (never dried out or gummy) refried beans) - delicious rice (not the fake orangey stuff) and just delicious food. One favorite - the Mole Verde Burrito (Chicken). It is HUGE. The mole sauce so flavorful and absolutely stuffed with chicken. I also like (lighter portion) the Meat Quesadillas, which are considered an appetizer, that are full of chunks of seasoned meat served in corn or flour tortillas, with a spoonful of creamy refried beans and a scoop of chunky, fresh guacamole. I always ask for a side of pickled jalepenos which I stuff inside, and along with the chips and salsa you get (ask for the verde and mix them for a more flavorful/hotter salsa), it is plenty of food. There are other good choices as well. Margaritas are decent and not too expensive. I heartily recommend this place.

We love Las Fajitas! It's our go to place on any given night. The guacamole is fresh and creamy and the chips are thin, crispy and warm. Their salsa is fantastically fresh. I could fill up on that alone. Their spinach enchiladas are so good. Very lemony. Love the fajitas and the chicken burritos. It's too bad they did away with their chocolate mole sauce enchiladas. Almost anything on the small menu is fresh, well made and delicious. Can't be beat. also, great prices.

Food is delicious, Service is friendly and attentive. Parking can be a challenge and the dining room is small so there is often a bit of a wait. We like to have a drink at the bar while we wait for a table where the staff is quick to bring you complimentary chips and salsa. I recommend the mahi fish tacos and the fajitas. Portions are large and the food arrives quickly from the kitchen. Great service, casual atmosphere, great food,

I have been a regular at Las Fajitas since I was a tiny little thang. Ok, since middle school. This place is amazing; you're going to leave full and satisfied without putting a painful dent in your wallet. If you go on a weekend night, be prepared for a little wait (they can't help being popular), but I promise it won't be too long and you'll be way happier you went here then that junky place Uncle Julio's down the street at Mizner Park. They start you off with a bottomless basket of chips and delicious salsa fresca. This stuff is NOT spicy, but it is a wonderful mild salsa that you will find yourself piling on to chip after chip until you realize you just ate a whole bowl of salsa yourself. When you finally scrape the bottom of the ramekin, just ask for some more. They'll keep it coming. If you have salsa battles like my family, you can ask them to bring you out your own personal bowl. We probably go through about 8 refills per meal. Oops. So yes, the salsa is mild, but if spicy is what you're after, ask for the "green salsa," which my spice addicted boyfriend and friends can't get enough of. I would be remiss if I didn't let you in on the miracle that is their chicken vegetable soup. Tucked away in their appetizer section, it is easy to miss, but DO NOT miss this heavenly concoction. I am convinced this soup must have crack in it. I find myself craving it literally all the time. The size listed on the menu is around $5.50, and that, my friends, will get you a bowl so big you could seriously make 4 portions out of it. But this soup is so good, I've seen a friend literally devour the entire thing. If you want to be let in on a little secret, there's a smaller size not listed on the menu for about $4.50 that gets you a normal human sized bowl. I usually opt for that one, because the ratio of chunky veggies, rice, chicken and broth is more even than the large bowl which usually comes with a river of broth and a more nominal serving of the good stuff. Either one of them is enough for a normal sized gal as a full meal combined with their bottomless chips. I've even seen my 220 lb. boyfriend be satisfied with a bowl of this stuff for a meal. It's pretty hearty, and did I mention that it is out of this world? My friends and I call it the Mexican version of your grandma's chicken noodle soup. The stuff that heals everything from stomach aches to hangovers to break ups. It is a delicious bowl of piping hot chicken broth, with huge pieces of pulled chicken, cooked carrots and potatoes, raw onion and shredded cilantro. They will also bring out a ramekin of their Mexican rice to dump in the soup - don't forget to do it! Some of the 4 million times I've eaten this soup, it's been a little low on the salt, but the shakers right on the table so just give it a couple of hits and it will be perfect. A full meal for under $6.00? How can you complain? For entree recommendations, I always go with either the chicken fajitas or the mole verde burrito. Make sure you get those perfectly seasoned, sizzling fajitas LOADED if you want guacamole, cheese, lettuce, salsa, and sour cream on those fajitas. I say, you can't have those fajitas without the gooey melty addition of their shredded queso blanco, and the guacamole is a great alternative to salsa if you're still going on the chips. Often times, after digging in to the chips for so long, I can split this order of fajitas with my dining partner, but it is definitely do-able to finish these on your own. There is a steak or combo alternative to the chicken fajitas, but I find the steak is sometimes hit or miss. They use flank steak, so if it is overcooked, it becomes too tough to chew, and when you're biting into a fajita the last thing you want to do is wrestle with the overstuffed pile of yumminess in your hands. You want that thing to be cooperative, and while the steak is seasoned well and tastes great, sometimes it is just NOT cooperative. I tend to stay away, but go for the combo if you're wanting to test it out. The mole verde burrito is SO SO yummy. I was around when they used to have their regular mole burrito (which was life changing, earth shattering, world rocking good). This recipe left the building with the previous owner, but the mole verde burrito is a close second. It is a big fat chicken burrito in an ocean of cilantro-based mole sauce. A taste unlike any other, you have to experience it at least once! Everyone who tries a bite of mine becomes immediately obsessed and goes in for a bite or six more. My sisters always get the grilled chicken salad, which they say is very fresh and has an amazing dressing. Everytime I've seen it, it comes with a huge grilled chicken breast sliced on top and for $8 or $9 dollars, I think that's a pretty good deal.

This mexican joint was really really fabulous. It is really close to i-95, so I suggest you stop if you happen to be passing through the area. Your other options are nasty chain restaurants, and Las Fajitas is just a mile or two away from all those places. Definitely get the chicken fajitas! Spend the 2 bucks to get all the fixins' - it's what makes the fajitas. They are $11 without, $13 with, and if it were **my** restaurant I wouldn't even make it optional, but hey - maybe that's why I don't own a restaurant! ;) Chicken noodle soup - OUT of this world. MASSIVE bowl. I had my 2 year old drinking it from a straw, it was that good! The missing star was for service. All the other servers seemed nice, but ours was distracted and a little rude. When I asked if he had a small bowl so I could give my 2 year old the soup, he replied with "No", looked at me like I was crazy, and walked away! I was a little put off to say the least. Oh, and the ONLY dessert, which happens to be the hubbys fave, is flan. GET THE FLAN! It is a HUGE slice, and was heaven on a plate. I swear my husband had to move the plate so I would not lick the juices!

At times I could give this place 5 stars and others give it a 2. Food is great to good but for the price needs to be great all the time? I have dined in only once but have ordered to go probably 10 times. Portion sizes seem to fluctuate based on chef on that night. Needs to be addressed. Last time we ordered meat for fajitas was enough to make 2 tacos whereas before could make four solid. Being said, charging for extra tortillas seems nickel and diming, although last time they were certainly not needed based on portion size. All in all great Mexican and great little place.

Their food is bland. I ordered a steak burrito; it consisted of un-seasoned meat wrapped in a tortilla covered with what tasted like spaghetti sauce and melted cheese. If you ask, they will give you spicier (tomatillo) salsa, which helps a little if you are eating chips and salsa or a chicken dish, but it didn't really go with my steak burrito. There are many other Mexican restaurants in the area that serve food with authentic Mexican flavor. Their parking lot is very small, parking can be a real challenge when it is busy.

This place is always busy and a lot of people in Boca recommend it but last time I went, I was not too impressed. The atmosphere is good and the waiter was nice but the food was just mediocre. It seemed very plain. It might have been because it was lunch time and it was really busy.

Great escape from bogus expensive restaurants in Boca/Delray area. Some imperfections but worthy of 4 stars for great service, warm, casual atmosphere, and most of the food. Oh yeah, and the price. We were there on a Monday night so it wasn't jammed but nice and easy going; it's a small restaurant. Started with guac -- Calif avocados (a requirement!) prepared very simply and well -- not blended and pure avocado. We had ordered the hot-enough homemade blended jalapeno sauce to go with their very unchallenging salsa & chips, which enhanced the guac experience. Fish tacos for dinner -- disappointing. Bland, although the mahi-mahi within was a generous portion and easy to spice up; tacos surrounding a bit soggy probably because the three tacos came wrapped together in aluminum foil, presumably to keep everything warm. I ended up removing the mahi mahi and dressing it with pico de gallo and the jalapeno sauce. However, the spinach nachos that accompanied the tacos were amazing. Delicious. Lots of spinach with mellow white cheese melted over them. Note: the fajitas served to a nearby table smelled outrageously good.

We found this restaurant by mistake and decided to try it because it was busy. Very plain and simple inside, definitely geared toward people who want the tex mex bland version of mexican food. Note: All reviews say the same thing- NO SPICES, NOT HOT, NO FLAVOR, BLAND, SPAGHETTIO SAUCE....THAT SPELLS IT OUT Salsa was bland, not homade, guacamole , no salt, or flavor, refried beans- def from a can, white mexican rice- no vegetables or seasoning. 2 people had fajitas- chicken was good, steak WAY overcooked, came out in a pile of smoke, too hot, the onions burned, and shrunk, too many green pepper so soft they were limp and soggy. NO FLAVOR- NO SEASONINGS ON THE MEAT?????????????? Flour tortillas were rolled early in paper and then microwaved, so as you unrolled them, they cracked and fell apart. Sides of pico de gallo- bland, guac-bland, sour cream, lettuce, cheese. Other person had chicken enchiladas- very bland, lots of cheese, no flavor. Consensus? If you go to a Chinese restaurant and want egg foo young with brown sauce, then when you want Mexican food, this is your place. If you want flavor and spices and good food, keep driving by.

Having lived in Phoenix, I have a good idea of stellar Mexican food. Las Fajitas was decent, but lacked some of the punch of the best Mexican I have had. I got the Green Mole Enchiladas. I could taste a hint of the Mole, but it lacked the flavor overload I have traditionally enjoyed with Mole sauces. The enchiladas themselves were just chicken wrapped in tortillas. A little cheese in there or some veggies or sauce would have made them a little less dry. The rice and beans were standard. The place was super cute and with the dim lighting felt very intimate at night. The margaritas were huge. A pretty good Mexican local place in Boca with decent prices.

We finally tried Las Fajitas after much debate over the last year. As we are both very family with traditional Mexican, we honestly weren't expecting to find something so authentic in Boca! The salsa is fresh but has absolutely no kick, so definitely ask for the jalapeno salsa as well. The carne asada and chicken mole enchiladas were both great. The steak had great flavor and was done perfectly while the green mole sauce (tomatillo with pumpkin seeds) was unique and delicious. Everything was homemade and it showed from the beans to the rice. Actually, the rice was not what you would typically expect from a Mexican restaurant, it was more like Cuban or Puerto Rican rice. Still very good. Lastly, portion sizes are enormous so if you're not into leftovers you might want to share! This is a 5-star place for what it is- a great family place, everything homemade, with great service and a laid-back attitude. If you're looking for Tex-Mex or more American-style food (On the Border, etc), than this is not the place for you.

Went to Las Fajitas on a Friday night and after about a 10 minute wait at the bar was able to get into one of the booths. While waiting we got one of the best strawberry margaritas I have ever had from their full liquor bar. It was large and tasty for the $7 price. The place is small but with a very nice vibe and comfortable seating if you can manage to get one of the booths. The tables in the middle seemed less cozy. FOOD: My first impression of a Mexican restaurant is the chips and salsa that is served while ordering. These were first rate with a perfectly seasoned tomatoey (is that a word?) salsa. I ordered fajitas and my wife ordered the fish tacos. Both dishes were served with absolutely fresh ingredients and not served with a bunch of greasy melted cheese on top which too many Mex restaurants have a tendency to do. The end result was a tasty, fresh and delicious meal that allowed us to leave with a feeling of satisfaction and no guilt of having eaten anything unhealthy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that the menu was somewhat limited but if that is what they need to do to maintain the quality that I experienced that evening, I would not change a thing. BOTTOM LINE: Cozy inexpensive and authentic Mexican food with great drinks and fresh and tasty food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

It was just ok. I was excited by reading the other reviews, but left very disappointed. Went for lunch. They offer nothing for kids, so had to order off the regular menu for them. Had tacos & a quesadilla. Nothing special here. Service just ok. Over $20 for lunch for one adult and two small kids. Not good enough to go back for me.

Oh, holy- guacamole! I have found my new favorite Mexican. My boyfriend used to take me to Rocco's like I should be impressed... um no way! This place knocks them out of the water in every way. The guac is delicious! And the spinach- feta tostada is out of this world!!!! YUMMMMMMM!!!

OK so Boca Raton is not know for its Mexican food and that's primarily because there are so few Mexican places around town period. Las Fajitas is a good little spot for some Mexican food. Located in a little house converted to a restaurant on Dixie Highway it serves more authentic Mexican fare at value prices. What I mean by authentic Mexican is that the food isn't very tomato saucy at all and is more along the lines of Mexican food you would eat in Mexico not Americanized Mexican. The place at night is always crowded and parking can be a pain because the restaurant holds more people than parking spots. Overall the owners and management are nice and the place is very consistent. With a few beers and dinner expect the price to be around $20-$25 a person. Without the beer maybe $15.

Awful manager (the bald guy)! This review is long overdue. We used to go here all the time, 2 - 3x per week. The food was good and the staff is awesome. But the bald jerk certainly is not aware of client loyalty or customer service. He really brings the place down. We had been going there for over 10 years and not once did he do the right thing when we he was around. The portions keep getting smaller and the prices keep getting higher. Try Maracas in Delray instead!

Bland and totally misleading, they say something in the menu, and what you get is completely different (if you know the flavors). The salsa for the chips is as if you are drinking a V8. And the attitude of the waitresses is just the cherry on top! One of the worst.

A Boca Raton Favorite - how can you not give this place a near perfect rating (4.5). this is one of the hole in the wall places that you can never get enough of. its a locals favorite with authentic homemade tex mex food. the fajitas are to die for. the salsa is made fresh daily.

To people who give this Resturant bad reviews claiming that the food is bland you are obviously a sodium sucking pig that has no idea what authentic cuisine tastes like. This is the most authentic Mexican Resturant you can go to outside of Guadalajara. If your looking for tex mex this is not the place, this is a home style "Mexican" Resturant that happens to be one of my favorite places to eat. Great hospitality, great prices and great authentic Mexican food. Everything they make is made from scratch everyday from their salad dressing(1 salad dressing, which btw is the best you will ever taste) to their salsas. If you think it's bland go down the street to taco bell to get your salt fix, or get ripped off at Rocco's tacos, they also load it up with salt, there are plenty of us that recognize the authenticity and they don't need your business especially because you took the time to poorly rate them and have know idea what your talking about. Smh.

Met this guy through a common friend at the La fitness who shared the same passion for food as me and he kept on telling me of this really nice Mexican place in East Boca. And to prove his point he invited me for lunch which I readily agreed. Las Fajitas is located in the interiors of Dixie highway and at 1 pm in the afternoon there was hardly any place to park our car. From the outside you could see the restaurant was packed and once you walk in, it has the feel of the good mid western mexican places - plain and simple but you know the food is going to be truly authentic. As soon as we sat down the server got us some hot chips and salsa..The chips were really warm and crispy but somehow the salsa really fell short. There was nothing natural of the tomato sauce and it hardly had any flavor. I felt like i was having chips and canned tomato sauce. I ordered the fish tacos and my friend the burrito in mole sauce. The tacos were good but again what i missed was the flavor which you look for in a mexican dish. I dnt know if its the nature of the clientle in Boca, but somehow the food was just too bland for my taste. But again the restaurant was full and bustling , so am sure some people do love the place (like my friend who told me he never touches spicy food!! and his green mole sauce was equally bland) Service was fast, warm and polite. I had come to the restaurant with my Iced Venti Caramel Machiatto from Starbucks and sometimes while munching on my chips and salsa , a gentleman walked to our table (might be the owner) and told me he does not allow outside drinks to his restaurant!!! I looked at my half filled glass and thought of gulping on the coffee but with the most distressed feeling gave it away!!! Somewhere in my heart i just wanted to fight for my coffee but again I just did not want to look like a fool (as if people cared!!!!) Would definitely give this restaurant another chance though. Maybe the afternoon i visited, the cooking was not upto the mark. But the food is cheap compared to other restaurants in Boca and $6 margaritas are hard to find here. Maybe this could be my pre drink place before i go clubbing!!!!

My husband and I go to this restaurant often for dinner. We enjoy it. We like authentic Mexican and that is what we usually order off the menu and it has very good flavor. I do not order fjitas - if I wanted that I would go to Chilis or some place like that, not here. Just wish they had a better selection of Margaritas.

You shouldn't go to an Asian restaurant and order a hamburger, and you also shouldn't go to a Mexican place and order SpaghettiO sauce for your burrito. What you should do, however, especially if you find yourself in East Boca, have a healthy appetite, and a hangerin for some Mexican food at very reasonable prices is head on to Las Fajitas. I had the mole verde enchiladas and they were scrum-diddly-umptious. I'd never had a green mole, but I like Las Fajitas' concoction, it is very tasty and caused me to eat much more than I had planned on. My only real complaint is the lack of any hotness to the dishes. I'd have liked a bit more spice, but that's the Texan in me, I suppose.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
